These services include public management, and government accounting, internal auditing, budget analysis, financial and investment planning, information technology consulting, and limited legal services. An accounting degree prepares students for a professional career in accounting through courses that provide technical, analytical, problem-solving, tax and accounting research, ethical, technological and communication skills required in today's profession. Students graduating with an Accounting degree will be prepared for careers in Public or Corporate Accounting, Government, Not-for-profit Organizations. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 417,000 openings will exist nationwide for bookkeepers, accountants, and auditing clerks through the year 2010.
